| Fishers of Men | ||||
| These two strapping young fisherboys were working at their nets along the shore when up walks a stranger out of the blue and tells them to forget the nets and follow him. What?!! They didn't iknow him from Adam. And they just drop their nets, stand up and follow him, knowing full well, deep inside, that this is no short-time escapade. They don't even turn and look back at the boats. Then the fellow does it again! He stops and calls another pair of fisherboys in their boat with their Pop, and the, too, jump ship, drop their nets and don't even turn back to wave to their ol' man left back in the boat by himself. Think about it: you or I just walk away like that, leave the car, leave the boat, leave the credit cards, and follow some bearded stranger off to where? Peter and brother Andrew, and James and John did it, just because he said, "I'll make you fishers of men." Well, it was a simpler time back then. Imagine that, get tired of the boss? Computer doesn't want to work? Too much debt? Just drop everything and walk away with some strange guy who calls you to make you "Fishers of Men." Right. |
